Emotional impact of Parcoursup on student school and vocational guidance

EMORIEN
The purpose of this study is to examine the nature and intensity of the emotions provoked by guidance decisions in the Parcoursup procedure, depending on whether or not they facilitate the guidance goals pursued by the students. How students and their families cope with guidance decisions experienced as stressful is also studied. The role of these factors on student orientation is examined according to gender and social class. The impact of the relationship between the student and his/her various partners (parents, friends, teachers...) on the perceived satisfaction with guidance decisions and coping strategies is also taken into account. Finally, the final purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a perceived unsatisfactory orientation on subjective and objective success in the first year of higher education and on the risk of dropping out of higher education.
