The Second Chance Schools scheme: assessment and analysis of innovative pedagogical actions for young people without qualifications

F0E2CML
Since the first school was created in Marseille in 1998, a network of Second Chance Schools (E2C) has gradually been built up and now includes 130 school sites in 12 regions and 57 departments. To date, no statistical assessment of the impact of this system on professional integration has been undertaken. The assessment process should be carried out in two ways: by exploiting the progressive but unevenly distributed deployment of the schools throughout France, and by comparing several regions over two periods. With the FORCE data system, we will study the feasibility of this approach by identifying the regions where these schools have high potential usage rates according to the volume of young people in the target public within their 'Missions Locales'.
