Investments in human capital and employee working conditions: implications for people's careers and company performance

CAHUCOT
In this research project we intend to study how companies' investments in the human capital of their employees (whether in terms of general knowledge, know-how or skills), in sound working conditions and in the health of their employees, affect their employees' careers, as well as the economic performance of the companies. Our aim is to understand if and when these investments shape employees' careers and generate better company performance. To examine these phenomena, our research project has two main specific objectives. First, we intend to examine how these decisions affect employees' career mobility and earnings. Secondly, we plan to study how these decisions affect the operational and financial performance of the company.
