Impact of the Energy saving certificates scheme on energy consumption and economic activity: empirical analyses

CERTECE
The CEE (energy savings attestation) scheme is the main public policy supporting energy efficiency in France. This project aims to assess the economic effect of this policy on the dynamism of the energy renovation sector. To assess the effect of this scheme on economic activity, we use the exogenous shock induced by the emergence of the "insecurity" of the CEE in 2016, as the scheme had to be directed towards the most disadvantaged regions. We aim to analyze the evolution of employment and turnover in companies specializing in energy renovation according to the distribution of income in their area of activity over the 2014-2018 period.
