Research program on the spatial dynamics and the performance of logistical activities in France

DYSPALO
The project will study the links between the geographical location and productivity (spatial dynamics) for the transport and logistics sector. We will focus on the “agglomeration factor”, which may explain this sector’ geographical concentration. We will try to establish the existence of “agglomeration externalities” (cost cutting through urbanization and location), and establish the statistical link between the level of productivity and the level of performance for companies in this sector, as well as the number of companies spatially concentrated.
