Professional, geographic mobility and wage differences

This research project will focus on worker mobility, both geographic and professional. On the one hand, changing jobs is one of the main determining factors behind wage increase in one’s career. On the other hand, choosing to move to another region depends not only on the region’s characteristics but also what can be found in terms of jobs and wages. Our research will look at what determines geographical wage variations, and will focus on job seeking strategies from one local labor market to another.
