Study of business support in "working-class districts" on financial performance and induced social impact
This project aims to study 3 dimensions: 1) To identify the presence (or absence) of a "suburban effect" on company performance, i.e. to show how companies located in urban administrative districts, compared with other companies that are similar in terms of age, size, region, sector of activity, company performance (trends before the division), are likely to be less efficient. 2) To analyze whether this effect on company performance differs according to (i) the amount of total investment (by the public investment bank (BPI)/other donors), and (ii) the purpose of the investment (innovation, international, etc.). 3) To identify the social impact of the support provided by these companies in urban policy areas on the crime rate, level of education and unemployment on district and municipal levels.
