The European Commission’s DG CONNECT is organizing a workshop focusing on the availability of non-open public sector information for reuse.
This event provides an opportunity for esearchers and data scientists to share their experiences with the use of confidential data and representatives of public sector bodies to discuss feedback and possibilities for making their data available for reuse under specific conditions.
The Commission is currently considering the possibility of consolidating the rules for protected data (the Data Governance Act) and open data (Open Data Directive) into a single legal instrument.
The workshop is intended for public sector data holders and data reusers, both current and prospective.
The discussion will take place on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, from 10:00 to 12:30 CET, in an online format and conducted in English.
