The press and the scientific community have widely reported on this. On October 13, 2025, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics (the Bank of Sweden Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel) to Philippe Aghion, jointly with Joel Mokyr and Peter Howitt, for their work on the impact of new technologies on economic growth.
At the Collège de France, where he is a professor, Philippe Aghion developed the Center for Research on Innovation and Growth. Several research projects he leads use large data sources from public statistical services (INSEE, DGFiP, etc.) made available on the CASD.
Congratulations to Philippe Aghion on this international recognition of his work.
