Congratulations to Stefanie Stantcheva, winner of the John Bates Clark 2025 Medal

Stefanie Stantcheva is Professor of Economics at Harvard University, Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy at Harvard and founder and director of the Social Economics Lab.

She was the 2019 winner of the Best Young Economist prize, awarded by Le Monde and Le Cercle des économistes. Her research focuses on the effects of taxation on a wide range of fields.

The John Bates Clark Prize, awarded by the American Economic Association, is given to American economists or economists practicing in the United States under the age of 40, for their significant contribution to economic science.
