Statistical presentation

Data description

The series include quantities consumed by type of energy, related costs, and the breakdown by use of each energy, as well as contextual data on the surveyed establishments. See file "Description des données EACEI 2015".

Sector coverage

Establishments belong to sections B and C (division 05 to 33), to group 383 (recovery), excluding: subclasses 1013B, 1071B, 1071C, 1071D (commercial crafts), 2013A and 2446Z; excluding divisions 05, 06 and 19; excluding group 091.

Statistical unit

The interrogation unit is the establishment, identified by its SIRET number.

    Statistical population

    The population is composed of establishments with 20 or more employees, with at least 4 months of activity in 2015, and main activity code ('APET) corresponding to sections B and C (division 05 to 33), to group 383 (materials recovery),
    excluding: subclasses: 1013B, 1071B, 1071C, 1071D (commercial crafts), 2013A and 2446Z ;
    excluding divisions 05, 06 and 19;
    outside group 091.

    About 14,000 establishments were surveyed, including an extra-sample specific to 2015.

    Reference area

    France

    Reference period

    Energy purchases or consumption are those corresponding to all invoices received in 2015.
    The information concerning the certification of the establishment refers to its situation in 2015.
    The other questions (presence of a heat pump, industrial production activity, activity on customer site) relate to the  establishment's situation at the time of responding to the survey.

      Comparability

      The scope of the survey remains the same as for EACEI 2014.
      Changes in the sampling design (abandonment of the waste management sector) and correction methods may also affect certain changes.
      Note that data from the waste management sector (divisions 38 and 39) were released separately.

      Statistical processing

      Data compilation

      See file "Méthodologie de l'enquête annuelle sur les consommations d'énergie dans l'industrie (EACEI)".

      See file "Valeurs modifiées" which indicates the percentages of total modified values, as well as by division of the NAF, by staff bracket and by region.

      Sample size

      The 2015 edition of the EACEI was exceptionally supplemented by an additional sample of 5,493 establishments, bringing the complete sample to 13,990 units.
