Statistical unit
The interrogation unit is the enterprise (independent or profiled). As the interrogation unit is modified for tje 2020 CIS, an oversample consisting of legal units is drawn. The objective is to compare the answers of these legal units with those of the enterprise to which they belong. The results will only be published at the enterprise level.
Statistical population
The survey covers the french enterprises of 50 employees or more, with NACE code belonging to the sections B to N.
The period covered by the GVC 2020 survey is a 3-year period, from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2020. Some variables, employement, are for the year 2020 only.
Comparability - geographical
For comparisons between European Union countries, refer to Eurostat indicators.
Comparability - over time and CC2. Length of comparable time series for U
GVC 2020 is the third survey on global value chains.
The 2011 survey interviewed legal units, so the collection unit and statistical unit are not comparable with GVC 2020.
The 2016 GVC-SME survey interviewed enterprises as defined by the 2008 LME but only covers the SME field. The data are comparable only on this sub-field.
