Data description
The aim of the database is to measure the commercial surface, the turnover and the workforce of retail and commercial handicraft establishments.
The database replaces the survey since 2016 and is built from exhaustive administrative sources:
- The statistical business register Sirus
- The Company Property Tax (CFE)
- The land file Majic (Updating cadastral information)
- The Commercial Area Tax (Tascom)
- The Esane scheme (Elaboration of annual statistics of companies)
The compilation of these sources enables to measure the commercial surface, the turnover and the workforce for each retail or commercial handicraft establishment.
The database is produced every year. The establishments have outlet premises in France and have been active all year.
Sector coverage
The establishments of the database are in the retail (divisions 471 to 477) and commercial handicraft (10.13B, 10.71B, 10.71C, 10.71D) sectors with outlet premises.
