The main objective of this study will be to study the association between the risk of AMD and long-term exposure to air pollution in the French population. The specific objectives are:
- To establish an algorithm allowing the diagnosis of AMD in the CONSTANCES and GAZEL cohorts
- To determine the pollutants having an effect on the risk of AMD
- To evaluate the association between the occurrence of AMD and exposure to air pollution
- To assess the risk based on exposure to atmospheric heavy metals
