Climate change, atmospheric pollution and Low Emission Zones: impacts on socio-economic inqualities
In this project, the objective is, on the one hand, to assess the inequalities of exposure and contribution to climate change/atmospheric pollution in the cities of Grenoble and Marseille, by working in particular on the access to green spaces and urban heat islands. On the other hand, we will study public policies, and in particular the Low Emission Zone (ZFE), to understand how they can worsen or on the contrary reduce these inequalities at the individual level. We will focus in particular on the vulnerability of households in urban areas according to their travel habits and their residential choices, using a multi-criteria vulnerability indicator.
