Corporate social responsibility trajectories as mediums for innovation in SMEs

We aim to work on possible relations between the setup of strategic management oriented towards corporate social responsibility (CSR) and innovation in SMEs. We will study the strategic orientation of CSR, and how it induces important changes in terms of resource management, processes, activities, products, services, and value chain. It is thus required to characterize what is mean by “the strategic orientation of CSR”. The company must then “invent” solutions to new problems generated by the strategic orientation of CSR, and as a result we must characterize the notion of innovation. SMEs seem like the most interesting “company size” to be studied.
