This project aims to explore the impacts of the local labor market conditions on the transition between public and private sector occupations, with specific focus on the compoisition ans transition of teachers in public shcools.
The public sector's job security and nationally-set wages, with little to no variation accross labor makets, contrast with the fluctuating conditions in the private sector. This creates varying gaps in job security ans wages between public and private sector occupations. The goal of this project is to study how these variations affect the quality of the local teacher force.
