This project examines the combined effects of climate shocks and price volatility on farm incomes in France and assesses the stabilising role of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). In the face of escalating climatic and economic risks, we aim to gauge the resilience of agricultural holdings and the differential effectiveness of public support across farm profiles. By integrating high-resolution climate data (ERA5), geographic information (RPG) and individual farm accounts (RICA), we will identify observed shocks, model farmers’ adaptation mechanisms, and simulate the impact of CAP instruments on income. The project will inform agricultural policy by documenting the territorial and structural vulnerabilities of the sector to multiple shocks.
