Geo-spatial income inequalities in OECD countries
Considering geographic aspects is essential for understanding inequalities in living standards and economic opportunities. This project therefore aims to analyze and compare geographic and spatial inequalities in household incomes across selected OECD and EU countries. It will investigate trends in disparities in income levels and income inequalities across different geographical units, including regions and counties and for urban and rural areas. It will then analyze the extent to which the development of income inequality over time can be attributed to changes in levels of inequality within and between regions.
