Identifying indicators and building a classification of the social organization forms and business models for French farms

Family agriculture mutations and the emergence of other forms of agriculture brings to us to question whether the traditional analysis patterns of social organization of production still apply. We assume that under the influence of globalization, of the financial sector, social and technological evolutions, a corporate agriculture has risen under new organizational forms, diversifying means of production, activities and the added value of the production. Such development generally comes with an increase of the size of the company, although some specific small size forms may still co-exist.
