Using employee-employer administrative data, this project aims to investigate differences in the labor market in France. The French context is interesting as the government aims at reducing inequalities across the workforce. This study aims at contributing to existing literature on gender equality in top-level positions (e.g. Bertrand et al., 2019) and across the workforce (Coudin, 2019). It will consider all employees and their characteristics to examine differences in the labor market. It will also investigate the effect of inequalities on firm outcomes.
