This project intends to use novel data to study the determinants of college and major choices among French students. We will investigate different factors that might explain the behavior of high school students when applying to universities and choosing specialization tracks. By doing this, we intend to find possible explanations for the lack of diversity (gender, region, and SES) in selective universities.
