Microeconomic bases for the productivity and competitiveness of French industries

We will aim to gain knowledge on differentiated organization of various types of industry, as well as the long term evolution of their differentiated organization. We will focus on shedding light on the microeconomic potential for the growth and competitiveness in France. On an empirical level, we will produce studies of large company data panels, on various issues related to dynamism among these types of industry (productivity’s importance for a company’ survival, processes involved in the targeting of a market, estimation of the profit margins for French companies and their evolution) and to international issues (innovation’s role in French companies going global, the impact of financial constraints on French exports, structure of the workforce’s qualification…)
