Inequalities in access to innovative oncology treatments remain poorly understood. The EQUINNOV study aims to identify the socio-economic, territorial, and organizational determinants influencing access to innovative cancer treatments within the framework of early access programs in France between 2015 and 2022.
This study will leverage data from the EDP-Santé database using a nested case-control design. We will compare the characteristics of patients who received an innovative treatment (cases) with those of similar patients who did not (controls) to identify associated determinants. A geographical analysis (distribution of hospital, patient care pathways) and an economic analysis (evaluation of the equity of national health insurance expenditures) will also be conducted.
