Sexuality after breast cancer: real-life study from the Constances cohort

I00KSIN
The objective of this study is to assess if breast cancer occurrence has an impact on French women sexuality. We will carry out an exposed (breast cancer)/unexposed (control) study using the inclusion questionnaires of the Constances epidemiological cohort. We will include sexually active women aged 18 to 69 years old, with breast cancer, and match them to an age witness. We will compare the frequency of sexual activity, the prevalence of dyspareunia and the sexual satisfaction between the two groups. A multivariate analysis will be performed secondarily in order to take into account the adjustment variables. This study will provide concrete data on the impact of breast cancer on the sexual life of French women and may constitute a starting point for the development of targeted measures to support women during and after the disease.
