The use of temporary contracts in the public service

The research project aims to understand the strategies of management of the workforce by public employers and more particularly the reasons for using atypical forms of employment. Initially, this project is carried out as a comparison between the public sector and the private sector over a long period, then it will focus on the three sectors of the public service. The DADS dataset (All Employee Annual declaration of social data) allows us to characterize the establishments using temporary contracts in the two sectors, but also to study the reasons for using these contracts by distinguishing three subgroups in the public sector.
