Authorisation: Statistical Confidentiality Committee
Regarding entries in the “public records”, declared births enable are entered in the “national repository identifying physical persons”. It includes the birth certificates and the forms where decisions registering the birth are recorded. Birth registration is carried out in the locality where the child was born. Data are collected from the informant, and checked whenever possible, using the government-controlled family register. Stillborn infants are not recorded.
