INSTANS : Newly established non-employed agricultural workers

The data in the annual file of newly installed non-employed agricultural workers are produced by the CCMSA (Central Fund for Agricultural Social Security) and come from management applications in the local funds. The field covers all the installations of farm or company managers contributing to the Agricultural Regime in France. The data cover: social protection of active farmers in the agricultural sector, reasons for exemption, insurance organizations, nature of the non-agricultural activity, legal form and category. The MSA (Mutualité Sociale Agricole) produces a set of statistical information on agricultural companies and populations covered by the social protection scheme for non-employed farmers, based on administrative management databases. The unit of analysis is the farm or company managers contributing to the Agricultural Regime and having established their activity during the years N, N-1 and N-2. This system of collection enables the recovery of information on business creations in years N-1 and N-2, the registration of which in the Information Systems would not have been effective at the time of the 1st transmission of data in July (management delay). The CCMSA only takes into account the installations of year N and does not conduct any new calculation of the N-1 and N-2 company creations that could take late installations into account.
