EPCIA : Observation survey of intermediate consumption costs necessary for farmers

The objective of the The Survey of Intermediate Consumption Costs Necessary for Farmers is to monitor the costs of providing farmers with agricultural supplies and veterinary products and services. Prices are collected from sellers of products needed by farms. The survey feeds the index of purchase prices for agricultural means of production (inputs) in the area it covers. At the request of the European Commission (Eurostat), it helps to establish the absolute prices of certain fertilizers and animal feed products. The data is collected from a sample of companies located in France (including French overseas departments) and among the most representative companies that sell products and services used by farmers. Veterinary practices are also surveyed.
