Stefanie Stantcheva, new member of the CASD Scientific Council

Professor of Economics at Harvard University, holder of the Nathaniel Ropes Chair, founder and director of the Social Economics Lab, and member of the Council of Economic Analysis, Stefanie Stantcheva is interested in corporate and personal taxation.

His recent work explores people’s attitudes toward taxation, trade, immigration, climate change, and social mobility using large-scale surveys and social experiments.

In 2025, she was awarded the John Bates Clark Medal, which is given each year to an American economist under the age of forty who is considered to have made the most significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge.
