Measuring the impact of accessibility to public transports on the productivity of Toulouse and its surrounding areas

We aim to identify and measure the links between accessibility (for a company) to public transports and its productivity on a given area, in this case of Toulouse and its surrounding areas (“Le Grand Toulouse”). Then we will simulate how modifying transport policies affects the economic activity. Expected results will enable us to better evaluate the choices of investment and infrastructure in local transports. We already have the accessibility indicators for the 179 small zones of the “Grand Toulouse” (as defined by the Urbanism Agency of Toulouse), we now need to build a productivity index for each area, for example using average wages. This data is available for each establishment in the Annual declaration of social data (“DADS”). Such study has never been carried out before on a detailed level.
