VAC : Activity breakdown
Authorisation: Statistical Confidentiality Committee
The Activity Breakdown file is part of the ESANE (Elaboration of Annual Company Statistics) statistical system. It is an individual file of the turnover breakdown for turnover of companies responding to the Annual Sectoral Surveys (ESA) by branch of activity (an observation corresponds to a branch X company cross-reference). The branch sales figures are available in the five-character level of NAF rev. 2.
To facilitate the comparison of two successive years, the files available cover two years: year N and year N-1. The field covered is from year N-1 but the method (adjustments, deductions, etc.) is that defined for year N. The Activity Breakdown files therefore provide consolidated data relating to year N-1 for companies defined according to the scope defined in N. This makes it possible to calculate changes at the company level with constant changes, which reflect only internal changes within the company.
