Assessing the potential impact of Lung Cancer Screening in France (lungscreenFrance)

This proposed project will assess the potential impact of lung cancer screening in France. In particular, we will estimate potential screening (1) benefits, (2) harms, and (3) cost-effectiveness. We will assess different eligibility scenarios, including categorical and risk-based eligibility using different risk prediction models, to identify approaches that would be optimal if lung screening were to be implemented in France. The analysis will integrate multiple sources of French data, including longitudinal data from the Constances cohort, French population estimates from INSEE, smoking prevalence data from Santé Publique France, and costs data from Assurance Maladie. We will evaluate 6 potential scenarios for screening eligibility in terms of their benefits, harms and cost-effectiveness.
