We will study the decisive factors in newly created businesses, and more specifically the scarcely documented “entrepreneurial spawning”. The literature has so far dealt business creation and typifying companies which drive employees to leave and set up a company of their own (Gompers, Lerner et Scharfstein, 2005 ; Elfenbein, Hamilton et Zenger 2010). Research projects so far have not monitored the newly created businesses over the years.
