Doing busines wit limited resources: The impact of microcredit and human capital and socila on the development of new firms

This research project aims to study the impact of microfinance and human and social capital on the development of new businesses and self-employed entrepreneurs with limited resources, in order to identify factors of entrepreneurial success. Our project focuses on three important aspects of entrepreneurial success: start-up financing, social capital and gender. We will focus on the context of new micro-enterprises and self-employed entrepreneurs to study the following three themes: (i) The impact of micro-credit financing on the survival and development of new micro-enterprises. (ii) The impact of social capital on the survival and development of new micro-enterprises. (iii) The impact of gender inequalities on the survival and development of new micro-enterprises. SINE (System of information on New Enterprises) data will enable us to include a temporal dimension in our analysis through several waves of data collection.
