Trade Union activity and corporate governance
The project aims to determine the impact of union activity on certain financial variables:
- wages for senior managers: we will be using the monitoring theory to see if union activity has an impact on the issue of using financial incentives.
- Level of the total payroll and its composition: we will determine if union activity has an impact on the salary level and composition of both management and non-management employees
- Financial profitability in pyramidal groups: Will union activity have an impact on the issue of monitored margins?
- The importance and productivity of the effort dedicated to research and development: We will see if union activity has an impact on the volume of resources dedicated by companies to R&D activities and the volume dedicated to their profitability, with a special focus on small and medium enterprises. When relevant, consequences in terms of company growth will be analysed.
