The Health Survey on French Overseas Departments is an extension to the 5 French overseas departments of the European Health Interview Survey (EHIS) conducted in 2019 in metropolitan France. It extends the health survey undertaken in 2019 to cover all French territory. Like the European survey conducted in metropolitan France, this survey collects information on the perceived health status of the population, healthcare consumption, refusal of healthcare and factors defining health. The overseas departments health survey is as close as possible to that conducted in metropolitan France, but it has been "tropicalized", following the practice of public statistics surveys, with the addition of questions relating to health problems specific to the overseas departments (dengue, zika, chikungunya, etc.).
