The Monthly Labour Market Statistics are made up of two detailed files: one relating to job applications and another to job offers. They are calculated from extractions of operational management files transmitted by the French Employment Service (Pôle Emploi) to DARES. The detailed application file contains information on job seekers. Each line corresponds to a type of application, defined by the variable "NATENR". This file covers applications from metropolitan France, overseas departments and overseas collectivities. The detailed offer file contains information on job offers collected, successfully filled or cancelled. Each record corresponds to an "offer uptake". An "offer uptake" can refer to several vacancies with the same employer and characteristics. The variable "NBOFF" indicates the number of positions corresponding to an "offer uptake".
