The purpose of the Monthly Outlook Survey in Retail Trade and Trade and Repair of Motor Vehicles is to transcribe the opinion of retailers on their recent activity and on their business prospects. The business leaders questioned give their opinion on the recent or forthcoming evolution of their sales, the level of their stocks, their order intentions, the evolution of their workforce and of their selling prices. Business owners also give their opinion on their cashflow and customer payment times.
The survey covers retail trade and motor vehicle trade and repair in metropolitan France, excluding: local or specialized food trade, retail sale of flowers and pets, retail sale of second-hand goods, non-store retail trade (with the exception of the mail order sector, which is included in the scope of the survey).
