OFATS : Outward Foreign Affiliates Statistics

The objective of this scheme is to collect the information of the heads of groups in France about their subsidiaries abroad. It includes two components: Inward FATS aimed at monitoring foreign firms in the country; Outward FATS on follow-up of affiliates controlled by national groups and located in foreign countries. In June 2007, the Member States of the European Union adopted Regulation EC N°716/2007, which requires the production of FATS statistics.
