The Residential establishments for the Elderly (EHPA) survey collects information on the characteristics and activity of medico-social institutions in metropolitan France and in the overseas departments and regions (DROM) which accommodate the elderly, as well as on the employees working there and the residents. Over time, the questionnaire has evolved, and long-term care units (in 2003) and day care centres (in 2007) have been included in the scope of the survey.
