Years : 2015
+

Producer : French Centre for Research on Education (CEREQ)

The Survey on employees itineraries and training - employer section (DEFIS Entreprises) provides a better understanding of companies' use of training. The objective is to provide a better understanding of the dynamics of employee training in all its diversity, in relation to work and its organization, and in relation to companies' training and human resources policies. It also aims to measure the effects of continuing education on professional careers and salaries, on external mobility and the chances of accessing a new job, as well as on other changes of various kinds in employees' professional roles. These may include, for example, mastery of new techniques or improved working conditions. The questionnaire in this section provides structural data on the company, information on the training activities implemented, on obstacles to training, on HR policies (professional interview, organization of information, consultation with employee representatives, etc.), as well as elements on work organization and managerial policies (recruitment methods, Forward-looking management of employment and skills, etc.). The company section concerns companies with one or more employees in all sectors (except agriculture). The geographical scope of the survey is the whole of France. Companies included in the sample were selected from the French company SIRENE register, and the survey was conducted entirely by telephone.
