Producer : Ministry of Environment (SDES)

The Survey on the performance of homes, equipment, energy needs and uses (PHEBUS) survey aims to provide a snapshot of the energy performance of the main housing stock, by enabling it to be analyzed in terms of the characteristics of its occupants, household and automotive equipment, their energy uses and consumption. It should also be possible to study fuel poverty, by comparing incomes and the share of energy expenses, as well as more subjective questions on satisfaction in terms of heating. The survey has two parts. The Characteristics of the housing, occupants and energy expenditure (CLODE) component includes a face-to-face interview with the occupants of the housing, selected at random, on their energy-consuming equipment, their energy consumption and their attitude towards energy.
