Producer : Ministry of Agriculture (SSP)

The objective of the survey on tree crop cultivation practices is to describe farmers' practices and rationale leading to the dosage of nitrogen fertilization and the use of phytosanitary interventions on the plots. The data collected are used to inform certain agri-environmental indicators, in particular those relating to the use of plant protection products. The questionnaires include common themes and a specific section for each species, specifically apple, peach, plum, apricot, cherry and banana orchards. They allow the technical itinerary for the species surveyed to be retraced: characteristics and management of the orchard, fertilization, mechanical interventions, weed control, phytosanitary protection, harvesting. The farms concerned are those cultivating at least 1 hectare of apple, peach, apricot, plum and banana trees, or at least 0.5 hectare of cherry trees, with a view to marketing the harvest.
