CAPHUFR
This project studies the effects of four French reforms (2008–2019) on worker and firm trajectories using matched employer-employee data. The first article analyzes the within-firm distribution of rents generated by the CICE between wages, profits, and skill categories. The second examines how the 2008 CIR reform disrupted the allocation of R&D engineers across firms, shedding light on the disconnect between subsidized inputs and innovation outcomes. The third investigates the effect of the Macron Ordinances on the gender gap in entrepreneurial entry, through the channel of return to salaried employment after failure. The fourth assesses the impact of the 3IA program on local labor markets, distinguishing between value creation and geographic displacement of talent. The project covers 2002–2023 and requires individual longitudinal linkages, confidential tax records, and fine-grained geographic identifiers.
