Unemployment benefits and the gap between employee and employer
Eligibility to the “0 social contribution” scheme to stimulate employment in very small businesses, which was set up in December 2008 and expired in June 2010. The scheme enabled an employer to avoid paying social contributions on work contracts lasting over a month. Only companies numbering less than 10 employees were eligible, and for the first 12 months of the work contract only.
Unemployment benefits and "employee-employer separation": We will attempt to estimate the effect of eligibility (for unemployment benefits) on periods of employment / unemployment (periods for which an individual is eligible to unemployment benefits).
