SERVICES : Industry recourse to services

The Industry Recourse to Services survey was carried out among companies in the industry and energy sectors (excluding the agricultural and food industries), having 20 or more employees, or a turnover of 5 million euros or more, in metropolitan France. The purpose of this survey was to provide details on the services used by industry, which are not otherwise well monitored by periodic surveys. It focuses on the purposes, volumes and practices (level of decision, regular or occasional providers, frequency, etc.) concerning the use of 34 services, grouped into 7 service categories: IT and telecommunications services, research and technology services, transport and logistics, general administration, commercial services, maintenance and general services, employee services. It particularly enables a comparison of the volumes purchased with those produced by industrial companies, and to qualify the relations between companies and service providers.
