First project using health and business data

A project led by HEC and Dauphine will focus on the link between business strategies (mergers and acquisitions) and employee health. This project was approved by CEREES (Committee of Expertise for Research, Studies and Evaluations in the Field of Health) in December 2018, then by the CNIL in July 2019 and, this month, the favourable opinion of the Committee on Statistical Confidentiality. The pseudo-anonymized NSDS (National Health Data System) data can therefore be used in the secure environment of project leaders at CASD to be studied alongside company data.

Based on two lists of companies that have been the subject of a merger-acquisition or not, the aim will be to measure, at the global level of the companies concerned, the change in the consumption of certain medicines by employees on sick leave.
