In 2022, the partnership agreement signed between the Banque de France and the CASD for the provision of granular, real and financial data marked a major step forward for financial research, giving researchers silo-free access to the Banque de France’s rich data, which can now be used in conjunction with data from INSEE and the DGFIP.
A joint investment by the secretariat of Insee’s Comité du secret statistique and the Banque de France’s Comité d’Accès aux Données then enabled the implementation of a unified procedure on the CDAP portal for researchers’ requests for access to data from both sectors.
By becoming a member of the CASD public interest group, the Banque de France will contribute to its operation and participate in its governance.
