CASD’s computing environment is evolving in step with new uses for data processing.
To illustrate this, CASD has put a new 2-minute video on line, presenting in particular:
• The new login procedure
• Examples of the use of VS Code, Jupyter, R and the availability of thousands of associated packages
• Fast switching from one secure bubble to another
• Data import and scripting
• Manual and automatic output of results files

CASD invites you to a new Web Data Tech session dedicated to DuckDB. While a previous Parquet/DuckDB webinar focused primarily on the Parquet format, this session will focus essentially on the DuckDB tool itself and the numerous features that make it essential for high-performance data processing today.
The ‘Prométhée’ SNDS health data warehouse reached a decisive milestone on March 26th, receiving authorization from the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).
Since the beginning of the year, CASD has provided interactive knowledge bases, accessible via a link within the secure bubble. The objective is to centralize all best practices regarding the tools and data available within the secure environments.
The CASD was honored to host Ms. Monica Pickard, Director of the Statistics Canada Center for Research and Excellence in Artificial Intelligence, on March 16.
